Fun for the Entire Family
Glazed Over is a paint-your-own-pottery (ceramics) studio located in Houston, Texas.

The concept of our studio is fun and simple. It does not require any artistic talent whatsoever. You come in, select a "raw" piece of pottery (there are hundreds to choose from), pick out paint colors, brushes, stencils, and sponges and paint your piece. While you're painting, you can enjoy music, you can choose from soda or juices (bring-your-own beer and wine*) and even have food delivered. Once you're finished, Glazed Over glazes and fires the piece for you to pick up in the next 7 days.
Our pottery is something you can use every day or put on your mantle. All our items are dishwasher- and microwave-safe. Unlike plaster, you can eat off our items. Some samples are here.
In addition to all the fun you can have painting pottery, we also have mosaics. Making a mosaic is just as simple to make as painting pottery and anyone can do it. We have dozens of mosaic pieces to choose from, and onto which you can glue tiles or glass shapes you've selected from the hundreds we have. We provide you with the mosaic piece, the tiles, glue, and instruction. After you're happy with your mosaic, you can take it home with you along with the grout we provide. After 24 hours, you can apply the grout and after it dries you have a new, handmade decoration for your walls or mantle. Some samples are here.
You have all of this fun in our spacious studio in a lovely and convenient neighborhood in west Houston. We sell sodas and juice. You are welcome to bring in food, beer, or wine; or we can suggest catering options. We have a menu book with menus from every restaurant in the area.
